Reliefs and Somasutra / Ku Pram Cham Sin : 17Jun2006, 03Oct2009

 

This ruin is in Ban Nang Ram, A.Phra Thai, C.Nakhon Ratchasima.

This ruin is next to Prasat Nang Ram as hospital"Arokayasala" made by Jayavarman 7th.



This ruin has a moat, but we can go through the approach pass from east or west.

When I visited here in 2009, the moat overflowed at east side. So I approched from west

The stones of this ruin are around there at the west.

■Western gopura
 
Lintel on the western face of the western gopura.
















This lintel has the relief of "The god Brahma riding on Hansa".
























Lintel on the eastern face of the western gopura.
















This lintel has  the relief of "The god Vishnu riding on Garuda".






















■Library

The right picture is the southern library taken from the eastern gopura.

This ruin has three prasats on the base.

This lintel has the relief of "The god Indra riding on the elephant with three heads as Airavata"






















■Somasutra

The Somasutra was on the steps.






















The outlet of this Somasutra may have the image of Makara's face.






















■Southern or Northern tower

The right door flame is for the northern tower.
